Mission Statement

The mission of the Russell County Prevention Coalition is to improve the quality of life in Russell County, Virginia, by promoting wellness through awareness and collaborative efforts.

GOALS

• By 2012, reduce the use of ATOD among 12-18 year olds by 5% as indicated by community youth surveys;
• Promote a continuum of evidence based ATOD prevention education as early as possible to avoid future ATOD abuse;
• Provide opportunities to increase education and training to improve the education standards for all of Russell County residents;
• Provide a continuum of health care to all non-insured and or low income Russell County residents;
• Provide increased environmental strategies to reduce ATOD use in Russell County and to increase the safety of Russell County residents;
